The restaurant at the Jungle Lodge is a lovely room: lot of windows and doors open, airy and light. The prices are reasonable and the menu is good. You can buy a bottle of very drinkable wine, red or white, for $21. The only caveat is that, for the most part, the wait staff are not fluent in English. The first night we were there we asked for a menu and we were told there wasn’t a menu and that for dinner we had a choice of chicken or beef. There was a menu and no doubt we could have ordered any number of things. It’s really a good idea to brush up on basic Spanish vocabulary before you go. Then you can order one of the “Platos Fuertes” with no worries.
