The Baltimore Marriott Waterfront is an awesome hotel. It is located in the Inner Harbor within walking distance of Little Italy, the Baltimore Lighthouse, Aquarium and several restaurants. From the upper floors of the hotel, one can see Camden Yards and the M&T Bank stadium where the Baltimore Ravens play.
Generally, the prices for this hotel are in the $200-250 per night range. However, since we were there for a convention, we paid $109 per night for two nights. I am a member of Marriott Rewards (recommended if you stay at any of the Marriott chain hotels for more than one night!) and when I checked in I was treated like a celebrity. We had requested a King room near the elevator. Natalie, who checked us in, made sure that we had this PLUS she wanted to make sure we had a great view and put us on the top (32nd) floor.
The playoff game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens occurred while we were there. With binoculars we could see into the stadium and while we couldn’t see the field we could see the excited fans. Kind of neat!
The hotel has a restaurant called Grille 700 which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also has a combination store and small deli style restaurant called Rigano’s. It serves Starbucks beverages as well as deli sandwiches, soups, fresh salads, and fresh fruits.
The ballrooms where our convention was held are very beautiful with huge chandeliers and scenic views of the harbor in the hallways leading to the ballrooms.
Our room had a king size bed with luxurious bedding - down comforters, custom duvets, cotton-rich linens and down pillows (lots of them!). It also had a very large flat screen TV with beautiful reception. There was also Internet access, a mini-bar, a desk, a full closet with ironing board and iron. The bathroom was all marble with a huge sink and tub with a massage shower head. This hotel is highly recommended when you visit Baltimore.
