Panache Restaurant

Panache, which specializes in tapas, radiates the warmth of the Mediterranean. The interior is painted vibrant red and yellow, and when spring finally arrives you can sit outside. The restaurant and bar, located on little Desales St. near the Mayflower Hotel, serves fine wines and a mean mojito. My friends and I sampled the Spanish omelet, artichoke hearts, and a divine grilled salmon. The omelet was standard but not stellar. The long-stemmed artichoke hearts and salmon were to die for, and bread was served warm with a yummy garlicky spread. On another occasion, I tried the gazpacho. I thought it was on the spicy side, and my friend Marya commented that it “tasted like a pickle.”
