First of all, let me state that if you do not do anything else while in Sedona, please do the Pink Jeep Broken Arrow tour. It is so much fun and is a totally amazing experience. For more info, go to www.pinkjeep.com.Prices are $72.00 per adult and $54.00 per child.
We booked the two hour tour at 4pm which in the fall ends at almost sunset. Our driver, Sophia, picked us up at our resort. There were seven passengers altogether, Jim and I, a newly married couple from Pittsburgh, and a set of grandparents and their granddaughter from Ohio. Sophia told us to buckle up and be aware that we were all going to get cozy. The jeeps are pink and are modified for the trail. They have a huge cover over them and once we got off-road, Sophia removed the front window.
We drove along the trail and we immediately hit bumps and stones, we even came to a full stop so that a baby tarantula spider could cross the road in front of us. We rode up into the rock formations around Chapel Rock and Chicken Point. At chicken Point, we got out and walked around. There were some spectacular views from here.
Now, it was time to journey back down. I was a little nervous, now. Sophia took us down the side of a rock at 45 degrees. Nerve wracking, yes, but fun? Heck yeah! I cannot do it justice to describe the thrill, the awesomeness, the incredible trip this was. Just do it!
