After nearly 24 hours of plane flights, I could have slept comfortably in a sleeping bag in the Kenyatta Airport. Fortunately, I ended up here at the Panafric Hotel. Their service was absolutely impeccable, and even though my stay included a 2-hour blackout (which are common throughout the city, and unavoidable), it was a completely comfortable and enjoyable experience. The accommodations were great. My bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the warm shower hit the spot. The food in the hotel's restaurant was great, and the buffet breakfast was the best buffet I've ever had in East Africa - make sure you plan time in the morning to grab a bite to eat before heading about your day. In fact, it appeared that the restaurant was actually frequented by many local non-guests...and I completely understand why. Two big thumbs up for the Panafric Hotel.
