Elvis Presleys Heartbreak Hotl

Have just returned from a two night stay at The Heartbreak Hotel and if like me you're an Elvis fan I advise that this is the place to stay. I loved it.

I had read many reviews before I left, good and bad. Some mentioned the area around the hotel was not good. We went anyway and I am so glad we did. I never at any time felt unsafe.

We arrived around 4pm and was booked in by a very helpful member of staff. Got to our room overlooking the heart shaped pool, it was large, very clean, two televisions both showing Elvis films - what more do you need. No safe in the room but you can use a safe behind the reception area. Breakfast was great, continental, but everything you can imagine was on offer. We booked the free Pink Limo and ate at Marlowes, the food was great and I would highly recommend doing this - just ask at reception.

As we were going to Graceland the next morning we went over to the plaza (a shopping area next to the hotel) and bought our tickets. Great idea as we went to the front of the line and were on the first bus of the day.
The hotel provides a shuttle bus from 5pm - 10pm every hour to Downtown Memphis and back. We booked our seat at reception to guarantee a seat. The shuttle from Sun Studio (well worth a visit) runs every hour during the day from the hotel to Sun Studios where you have to do the tour, then they will either take you back to the hotel or onto Beale Street. It will also pick you up again when you are ready.

The hotel was situated at the end of Lonely Street which I thought was great.

I enjoyed everything about my trip to see Elvis and would do it all again in a flash
