A medium-sized museum. Should take the average person about 2-3 hours to tour. Now my fiance' has a history degree...so it took us a bit longer. It is a lovely 3 story building which formerly housed the government. The exhibits begin with the local native American tribes that lived in the area, go through slavery, the civil war, and the post-war period. The artifacts are well presented, and the have some truly fascinating portraits of early inhabitants of the city. One of the key points would be seeing Napoleon's death mask.
