Resort Experience:
Consists of 9,600 acres of mountains and meadows located just 30 miles east of Salt Lake City. Lost Creek flows through the resort and empties into East Canyon Reservoir on the north side of the campground.
East Canyon is very historically significant in that it is the site of the trail opened up by the Donner-Reed Party and was later used by some of the first Mormon pioneers on their way to the Great Salt Lake area. Evidence of the trail is still visible in some areas of the canyon itself.
