Best Things Nearby:The scuba diving was the reason we went to this location, but there were also plenty of other things to see and do to occupy non-divers. The island is very small, so everything is relatively nearby--nothing is more than a 2 hour drive.Best Things About the Resort:All the staff members are really friendly, helpful and caring. I needed medical assistance, and they arranged for house-calls, as well as a personal taxi driver to get me to office visits and the pharmacy. They made me feel like they really cared--I wasn't just another guest who would be gone in a week or two.
Resort Experience:It's a fairly small resort, and they want everyone to feel like friends. At the welcome party we were introduced to some of the staff, as well as to other guests. Probably no more than 20 units were occupied while we were there. The resort sponsored a number of activities and tours (rainforest, snorkeling, shopping, etc.), and we had a good chance to get acquainted with others.
The restaurant is very small with a limited menu. There is a daily special, usually local cuisine. It is not open on Sundays, so plan to go elsewhere or cook on your own. They will light barbeque grills for you in several locations at the resort. Fresh (caught daily) seafood is readily available everywhere. There are other nice restaurants in walking distance.
