Best Things Nearby:
The St. Charles Avenue streetcar stops right in front of the hotel. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle to the French quarter; pick up a schedule. There is also restaurant located in the hotel as well as a lobby lounge. There were also a few restaurants just a few blocks away, including Delmonico''s. There is a grocery store located right at the corner of the block where you can pick up a three day(unlimited usage per day)streetcar pass. Work out well if you plan on going back and forth to the French Quarter as well as to through the Garden District and to the ZOO.

Best Things About the Resort:
We had a one-bedroom unit. It was very spacious. There was a full kitchen and small dining area combined with a living room area. The room was pretty clean and I just requested extras when housekeeping was in the hallway. There was a large picture window in the living/dining area. The fitness facility was also very nice. The equipment was state of the art and there was also a spa which I did not have the chance to try out. I used the excercise facilities a few times that week. The hotel is located close enough to all the attractions and yet it was not in the middle of it all.

Resort Experience:
This resort is located in the beautiful Garden District. The rooms were spacious and the staff were friendly and very helpful. I would definitely return here again. There was always someone in the lobby, including security during the late-night and early-morning hours. Check-in was a little slow. There is a seperate room for timeshare check-in. We waited on line for about 5 to 10 mintues to check in and fill out paperwork. We came back 2 hours later and waited on line again another 5 minutes to get the room key. There was a pool area but I never had a chance to use the pool. There were washers & dryers on 2 or 3 floors. People were actually waiting on line to use them. An activities desk (room) was located on the main floor. We actually booked some tours in the early morning for later on that day and were able to get information about events going on. They also gave good advice on getting around town. The clientele was a mixture of couples as well as families.
