Best Things Nearby:
Heavenly valley ski resort (across the street) and the lake (about a mile away).

Best Things About the Resort:
For skiers, you can walk to the slopes. For everyone else, you are very close to the lake without out being in the middle of everything. It's about a mile or two from the lake and the heart of South Lake Tahoe, yet in beautiful, peaceful, wooded souroundings.

Resort Experience:
This is not a luxurious resort, but it has its own character and charm. The rooms are definitely interesting and have a unique layout. There isn't really a kitchen area, more of a wet bar with a microwave, small fridge, and little bit of storage (no utensils). The unit had a fireplace and a full-size jacuzzi tub that is in the middle of the room between the sitting area and the bedroom area. When you close off the jacuzzi, it becomes the shower. The unit does have a table with seating for four.

There's a restaurant on site that is pretty good, but you would have to drive to go to any other restaurants (there's nothing else near by). They offer free valet parking and a shuttle to the casinos. The pool area is very small.
