Best Things Nearby:
Colonial Williamsburg, Jaqmestown, Yorktown, and Busch Gardens are all about 40 minutes west off of I-64. Kings dominion Theme Park is is an hour and a half away; about 20 miles north of Richmond off of I-95. Nags Head, NC is about 2 hours south. For shopping there are five malls in the area. The newest and most upper scale is MacArthur Center in downtown Norfolk.

Best Things About the Resort:
It's right on the Beach.

Resort Experience:
We stayed there when we went back up to visit my family for Christmas. We ended up in two different units. When we first entered unit 304 we found it to be filthy and unvacuumed. We could peel the dust off of the tissue holder. The sliding glass door in the bedroom had a bent frame which kept it from closing all the way. We discovered the living room carpet was soaked. An icemaker line leak was found by maintenance. That was when we saw the mold and rot in the wall behind the refridgerator.

The next day we were moved to unit 601. The microwave didn't work, the oven only cooked at 550 and the windows sweated so bad we used the free morning papers to keep the water from pouring onto the floor. There was no heat outside of the rooms and the office, so the indoor swimming pool was usless. The parking is atrocious. The staff doesn't know how to handle an emergency. And management doesn't give a damn about the problems of the clientele. I also noticed that the RCI excellence awards stopped abruptly in 1995. I wonder why?
