Best Things About the Resort:
The resort is fairly small, so it is easy to make friends and stay friends. The clubhouse/bar was the gathering place for everyone to discuss their day's travels and experiences. The bartenders were always attentive and sometimes joined in with the festivities. There are numerous activities and trips planned by the resort, which makes it easy to schedule your days and nights. The pool is not large, but it's more than big enough to cool you down. Also, several hot tubs are situated throughout the resort, great for the aching back after a day (or night) of too much activity. The bar area is large, with tables and chairs under the "hut." Ceiling fans take away some of the heat when there is not a breeze. A pool table is always open and ping-pong is available. Prices of drinks are well within reason.

Resort Experience:
The resort is not luxury. It’s pretty basic but very well equipped. We had a two-bedroom unit that had everything we needed, except a bottle opener and a few steak knives. Hair dryers and an iron are included. We also had a radio/CD player, which the smaller units did not have. Many of the units are in the process of being remodeled and refurbished. Ours was one which had been already redone.

They seem to have a lot of rules and regulations which at times were annoying. It wasn't so much the rules, which were quite understandable, but the attitude of the person telling you you'd broken a rule that was bothersome. Elvira, the guest coordinator, was a real gem, friendly and caring. Leroy, one of the men that runs the shuttle and drives the van for the rain forest trip, was a fabulous person who kept us entertained with his stories and songs. Most of the girls at the reception desk were not particularly friendly and had the attitude they could care less if you were there or not. One girl, a tall, thin, attractive girl who spoke quite clearly was very nice, and I found myself looking for her if I had to go to the desk for something. I'd return to this resort again. Just be careful of the rules!
