We stayed in the Executive Tower, which is, somewhat confusingly, across the street from the apparently "official" address above. Our room (an "executive king") was pleasant, reasonably spacious, and, apart from the less than assiduous vacuuming job on the carpet (the remnants of the previous occupants' trail mix were promptly taken care of after a call to the front desk), perfectly clean. Other things to like:

- Great mattress and pillows, two bottles of water daily free of charge, and nice toiletries from Crabtree and Evelyn.

- Good location--you can walk to just about anywhere in Portland's lively downtown and you are two short blocks from the light rail service (if you don't have much luggage, skip the cab ride from the airport and take the red line to Pioneer Square)

Excellent service--front desk and concierge staff were friendly and helpful. (In our first room, we could hear a constant loud noise--a malfunctioning fan? late-night construction? faulty plumbing? The staff had no explanation, but we were moved right away to a room higher up, with apologies and a complimentary breakfast for two for the hassle of packing up and moving.)

If we had been able to get a better deal on the room, we'd have given this hotel a "highly recommended". (I've seen reviewers on the net posting rates of less than $100/night for a room here--clearly it's worth shopping around.)
