Royal Plaza in the Walt Disney World Resort

Other than the hotel lobby there isn't a single positive thing to say about this hotel. We stayed here for our honeymoon since we were on a tight budget. We had stayed at the Port Orleans resort in the past and loved it, but figured this would be okay for us. Our room had a view of the interstate behind the hotel, the sliding door to the balcony leaked water when it rained, and A/C unit was so loud we couldn't run it when watching TV or wanting to talk and the hotel staff was very rude and made absolutely no attempts to make our stay better. The bus system that Disney has is wonderful, but they run one bus to all the downtown Disney hotels. The Royal Plaza is right in the middle, which means early morning buses are usually full by the time they get to you. We ended up walking to Downtown Disney everyday and taking the buses that were there, it was much more reliable. The pool at the hotel was little more than a square hole with water, and the hot tub had dead leaves and sticks in it everyday. If the hotel doesn't show pictures of the pool in it's add, there is a reason for it. I wrote a letter to the hotel management after we left and did not receive one word in response to our complaints while there. Take your money and go to another hotel, this hotel is not worth whatever dollar savings you might get.
