We went in May, on a Sunday, when it wasn't busy at all. The park is very clean and nonsmoking throughout. There's a restaurant with Backyard Burger in the front of the park and plenty of snack shops positioned at each of the exhibits. The park is uniquely decorated appropriately for each exhibit, and you can see the time and effort put into the design. The Asian-themed area is decorated like you're entering a fortress and imitates an Asian country. I recommend the train ride through the park. Though the park isn't overly large like some other state zoos, the train ride is a cheap ride around to observe all the exhibits.
