The Peabody Hotel is home to the famous "marching ducks." At 11am each morning, the ducks that live on the roof of the hotel ride the elevator down to the lobby and follow the red carpet to the lobby fountain. They remain there all day and then return to the roof at 5pm. Hundreds of people gathered to watch this spectacle while I was there, so you definitely want to arrive early. recommend watching from the second-floor balcony. There are five ducks, and as soon as the elevator door opens, make sure you are paying attention, because their march is quick and you might miss it.
