Hotel Aranjuez was one of the best budget hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms had tropical themes, as did the hotel. There were plants and flowers everywhere, which I loved. The rooms, bathrooms, and lobby were all very clean and neat. The staff was friendly and very helpful, and everyone spoke English. There were also daily tours available from San Jose to places like the Poas and Irazu volcanoes. A daily tropical breakfast was available every morning. There were all types of fresh fruits, meats, and breads. Although I would recommend spending only a few days in San Jose, this hotel is one place to stay.
