Dewey House

We really had wonderful luck this trip in terms of our lodging. We booked a regular motel room at Southermost on the Beach, which is our favorite moderately priced motel in Key West. When we arrived, we had been upgraded to an oceanfront cottage at Dewey House, which is one of the two B&Bs that are a part of this resort complex.

This was by far the nicest B&B room we have had in Florida. When you walked in the room, you were in the office/kitchen/bathroom area. There was a very nice desk that was perfect for two people to enjoy the free continental breakfast together. The kitchen area had marble counter tops and stainless-steel appliances. The bathroom had a wonderful Jacuzzi tub. Sunken down three steps from this area was the bedroom with a very comfy king-size bed and two plush reading chairs with an ottoman. French doors led to the oceanfront balcony that also had two chairs and a table.

Breakfast was served every morning and tea was served every afternoon. Overall, it was a very, very enjoyable stay!
