The beds were not particularly comfortable--but the rooms were still nice. Parking is free, which is a great perk--although sometimes it was hard to find a spot in the parking lot. I think most of the hotel guests arrive via ferry, without car. Because of this, they have a hotel van, that will drive hotel guests to various places. We took it to a restaurant--and then had the restaurant call the hotel to ask them to pick us up. Very convenient.

The pool is deep--goes from 5 feet to 9 feet. The Jacuzzi seats about six people comfortably. It was nice that the pool was open until 10:30pm, since many hotels close their pool much earlier.

The people at the front desk were all very nice and helpful. We had them call various restaurants for us (avoiding the cose of a telephone call)--and they did so without complaint.

The location is right downtown--just behind the Empress Hotel. Very easy to walk almost everywhere--if you don't want to use the hotel van.
