Sea Shell Motel and Hostel

The Sea Shell is actually a "proper" motel that offers private rooms for $70-$100 a night. The vast majority of the grounds consist of eight hostel rooms with 90 available beds. These rooms are mostly divided into male or female with one mixed dorm and consist of a few bunk beds and a bathroom with a shower.

There is nothing glamorous about these rooms. Painted in solid yellow semi-gloss, they are not what you would call spotlessly clean. Thankfully, they are air-conditioned.

The common area of the hostel consists of three umbrella’d picnic tables, a pool table with a thatched roof canopy, and various vending machines and storage lockers, all outside. There is a kitchen for your use with three refrigerators that are growing mold samples that would make Marie Curie jealous. There is also an indoor T.V. room strewn with a few uncomfortable chairs and a limited selection of used paperbacks. Bikes are available for rent at the front desk for $10 a day and there are maps and brochures for various sights abounding.
