Nice, but not much is ''compris''-- the gym, the pool, the Dutch Breakfast is all extra. We were even charged for the green apples that usually adorn each lobby, but they hadn''t been put out yet, so when we called about them and room service offered to bring us up some, we didn''t think to ask if we''d be charged when we usually would just grab one from the lobby as ''compliments'' to our room- hence, I was a bit put out by that. Beautiful View and fun room, though; At the northern tip of the Red Light District, and next door to St. Nicolaas Catholic (and gorgeous) Cathedral; The Golden Tulip in Purmerend (sp?) offers MORE for your money (and is a 20 min train ride thru the countryside, just north of Amsterdam, if you don''t want to stay in the Red Light District).
