The Radisson Hotel Washington D.C. (formerly the Radisson Barcelo) is located in the highly desirable DuPont Circle neighborhood on the same block where young Al Gore lived for awhile as a boy (Westin Fairfax). This is a very interesting and upscale area with numerous higher quality name hotels, embassies, restaurants and shopping. As for the Radisson itself, the rooms are some of the largest hotel rooms in Washington and it is a very well maintained property. We offer the rate guess advisedly because although we have booked for that price, it can be higher during periods of high demand. The Radisson has 300 rooms and an on-site restaurant with room service. We liked the roominess and always appreciate in-room safes to secure items. This is an active neighborhood and we give it the nod for feeling safer after dark.
