Member Rating 3 out of 5 by African Explorer on September 20, 2000

Fraser´s Semonkong Lodge lies nestled on the banks of the Maletsunyane River, upstream of the Maletsunyane Falls - the highest single drop waterfall in Southern Africa - 196 m. The accommodation, built of stone and thatch, offers just the right balance of civilisation and rustic elegance: electricity, hot showers and not a telephone in sight. There is a fully licensed bar and a very nicely furnished restaurant with home cooked meals and a communal kitchen for the self-caterer. Its located Maseru to Semonkong 120 km, road suitable for the more rugged 2 wheel drive family sedan. US$ 8 per night
