250 acres and 25 exhibits. Sea World Texas has all the usual features: Shamu, Dolphins, Whales, Sea Lions, and other performing creatures are featured in their three sea water shows.
In addition, you can catch a water-skiing show or an ice skating show.
There are interactive tanks for feeding and petting the dolphins and for feeding sea lions. These are located in separate sections of the park.
The many marine biologist and college students the park hires man the interactive areas. They are pleasant and well versed on the animals on exhibit. They take the time to answer your questions and make your visit more personal.
This park also has three other feature areas. They have several roller coasters and water rides. They have a children's section complete with a large climbing area of nets and slides attached to a pirate ship. The children's section also has its own rides and a Shamu water harbor where you can get good and wet. The third section of the park is a complete water park with wave pool, kiddie pools, and slides.
Shirts, shoes, etc are the required attire, but a pair of shorts over a swimsuit are the usual. For one thing, you have all the water activities. For another, this is Texas on any given day it is hot, hotter or hottest.
Bring cash. Drinks are from $2-4 and food follows the same guidelines. Park services have a range of choices including hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and ribs.
The night show at the Shamu stadium with it's hit movie themes is a must see. Be brave sit in the splash zone, the show is not the same if you don't.
