Red Rock Jeep Tour

My three sons and I went on the Soldiers Pass tour as a "splurge" excursion on our vacation. I called for the reservation and explained that I was bringing my three sons (ages 9, 8, and 4) and we were interested in some thrills. The reservation gal suggested the "adventurous" Soldier's Pass tour, and I am telling you that it was anything but adventurous. Our guide (I don't know his name because he never introduced himself) spent the tour discussing the native plant life, mostly to the front-seat passenger. My family of four was seated in the back, and we couldn't hear most of what he was saying, which wouldn't have interested three young boys anyway. At one point, I thought two of my kids were going to fall asleep, as they gently rocked up and down while the Jeep SLOWLY crept over the rocky path.

There is obviously a market for this tour or it wouldn't be offered, but it wasn't what I expected, and there was no attempt by the driver to accommodate or entertain my family. So, after spending $206, I was very disappointed and feel obligated to share my experience so other families do not book the same tour.
