Peaceful and insightful place to spend the day. My husband and I have many times taken a picnic lunch and enjoyed it under a moss-covered oak. Grave markers are so interesting, as some date back many years. Next door to Bonaventure on one side is a cemetery for those of the Jewish faith, and bordering on the other side is a cemetery where the young man of "THE BOOK" fame is buried. And on one side is an inland waterway that is so beautiful and peaceful. But a word of caution: do not leave valuables in your auto--not just here, but anywhere, as it tempts thiefs while you are enjoying your day.
