The museum has an obscure entrance that looks like the entrance into a store. The lines to get in are, of course, very long, but they move surprisingly fast. We were inside within half an hour. I don't remember the exact price of admission, but I remember that it is around 8 euros per person. The inside of the Galleria is magnificent. The walls and floor are white marble, but of course, the splendor of the place lies in the artwork. There are many statues of all sizes in the Galleria Academia, but none as regal as the David. The David is simply larger than life. The glistening marble carefully curves and twists to create an epic man of epic proportions. It is hard to put into words the feelings that run through your body as you stand before him, trying to follow his lost gaze. I stood and stared, trying to absorb that moment.
