Where to shop

Places to shop for a better value and quality:

Sungei Wang - Malaysians knows that Sg. Wang has lots of individual shops selling goods like clothes (branded and non-branded), pirated pc hardware, food, and headphones for a good price. No need to go to Petaling Street to buy cheap quality goods where one has to endure the terrible pollution from the bus stations located nearby. Get ready for the crowds that make one a bit tired to shop, but up for taking a seat at the nearby cafes. It is definitely a good place to buy non-branded woman’s clothes.

One Utama: Is a large shopping complex which consists of Ikea, Pets Shop (with very cute pets like Lion Head Bunnies, Sloppy Ear Bunnies, Golden Retrievers, and others), Jusco and individual shops selling things like clothes, kitchenware, and ornaments. During the weekends, there is a market operating from the afternoon until evening just outside of the complex. The prices of the merchandise are average; not as cheap as in Sg. Wang but definitely reasonable.

Cititel Midvalley: This is a very large shopping complex with four wings. It consists of major supermarkets like Carre Four and Metro Jaya. There are other individual shops like Topshops, Miss Selfridge, Bonita (which sells hair accessories), and various pet shops. Sometimes, when there are sales, you can find a Topshot t-shirt as cheap as RM10. I enjoy shopping here because it has almost everything.

KLCC, Lot10, Starhill, Mines Resort Shopping complex: A shopping complex with brands like Versace and A/X, very high-end places to shop. It is good for browsing though.
