There are three whale watching operations in Provincetown. I have gone on two and either one is fine.
The presence of a naturalist as part of the crew is a real plus.
Leaving from Provincetown is a good idea because it is close to the whale feeding grounds at the Stellwagen Bank Marine Sanctuary.
