Gatorland offers half day airboat rides thru the swamps near Orlando. You meet at their facility and they take you by van to the place where you get in the airboat (about 1/2 hour away. You go out for about 2 1/2 hours (lunch is provided) and then they take you back. Their airboats hold only 6 people so the guide is able to make the tour very personal. He was able to have conversations with us, not just using a tour guide script. We saw gators, of course, bald eagles, and many other birds. The cypress trees were huge and the guide would stop and point out things he saw or explain things we pointed out. He served club sandwiches under a huge cypress tree. There were 4 of us in our group, plus 2 others. It was great. Two of the people in our group are not outdoors-type people and even they haven't stopped talking about it. Everyone had a great time.
