My absolute favorite part of Key West. Inexpensive and gorgeous, it is a wonderful way to spend an hour or two. First, you enter an area devoted to educating you about butterflies, and then you enter the glass dome-enclosed area filled with not only butterflies, but birds as well. There is a pond in the center filled with coy and literally hundreds of butterflies flying freely. The stone path winds around gazebos and benches, and pictures are allowed. Upon leaving, you go through two sets of double doors and are required to look at yourself in the mirror to assure that there are no stowaway butterflies on you or your clothing. After you leave that area, you go into a gift shop area. I'm not a gift-shop person, but this gift shop was quaint and I enjoyed it. A must-do in Key West.
