The Hapuna Beach Park is a secluded beach. The road is rough driving and a 4 wheel drive is a must. You drive past lava tubes - don't go off "road" because you cannot tell what is not solid ground. This is more for the adventurer. It is a reasonable walk for those who are steady on their feet with a good pair of hiking shoes. The sunset is beautiful. There are no lights, so if you go for the sunset make sure to take flashlight. It is a park, so if you drive the gates do get closed. Like I said the walk is not for the little ones, elderly, or lazy.
