I knew I could fly in a large plane, but I wasn't sure if I could fly in a helicopter. I wasn't sure if I could handle the helicopter going up and down - I have a hard time on roller coasters when they start going downwards, so I wasn't sure if I wanted to do this. Somehow, I did manage to get in this helicopter, probably because all of my friends were going. Once the helicopter got off of the ground, I was fairly relaxed and more awestruck than anything else. The views from the sky were incredible, this island had green trees and waterfalls everywhere, and all of this being surrounded by the Pacific Ocean made the scenery breathtaking. The pilot was very informative and had lots of interesting history on the island. He pointed out the beaches where a few movies were made, like “Six days and Seven Nights” and “George of the Jungle.” I was surprised at all of the films that were made on this island. All of us who were on the helicopter got to wear a nifty headset with noise-canceling earphones. When we wanted to talk to each other, we were talking through the headsets instead of screaming over the noise of the helicopter to each other. The windows in the helicopter were large enough that everyone had a good view from where they were sitting, and the lucky people next to the windows kept taking numerous pictures to ensure that they didn't miss anything. I was truly amazed that I enjoyed this ride as much as I did, and it was a great way to see the rest of the island. I definitely want to go back and do it again.
