The charming and intimate Fragonard Museum showcases the life of this artist, who was born in Grasse in 1732. It is housed in a simple country house built outside of the city walls in the late 1600s. The collection features some of his most famous paintings, including the monumental "Love's progress in a girl's heart," as well as other pieces of art done by his family members. The grand staircase here was designed by his grandson Alexandre. The small gardens are beautifully kept and perfect for that quiet moment of reflection.
