Exploring Valetta

I’ve just come back from another eventful trip to Malta. This time I went without children, so I was able to visit St. John’s cathedral. The whole floor is covered in marble, with different paintings. The altar is amazing with all its gold, and the paintings and decoration inside are beautiful to the eye. There is a museum and an oratory that is, again, adorned with a beautiful marbled floor. This also houses the painting of the beheading of John the Baptist.

It costs 1 lira to go in, and that covers everything. You cannot use flash photography inside and must wear the correct clothing.
