Audobon Park and Zoo

This is probably one of the best zoos in the country. Its beautiful design is full of tropical plants, waterfalls, and lagoons. It houses many rare animals that you can't find in other zoos, as well as a replica of a Louisiana swamp with a rare white gator. There's even a big butterfly exhibit with some of the most beautiful colors I've ever seen. One of the aspects of an attraction like this are all the different areas of the zoo. You have an African area, an Asian area, a Louisian swamp, and much more. I love how they detail each area with sets full of artifacts from those regions of the world. It makes you feel like you're amid other civilizations. This is a truly great experience for anyone. We took a cruise from the French Quarter to get there, so we didn't see much of the park, but it seemed like a really neat park.
