Old Colorado City

Spend a few hours a day here if you want to browse through the shops. There are lots of CO souvenirs, handmade items, and crafty stuff, along with a great atmosphere. If you are visiting during the summer, there is a farmer’s market Saturday mornings that can be fun. During the winter, if there is a snowy but not too cold day, consider visiting and enjoying all the Christmas decorations. There is frequently a horse-and-carriage ride available for a fee along the street. For lunch there are many places to grab a bite. Our favorite is Meadow Muffins. There is so much to look at in the bar/restaurant. It is open to kids during the day and in the evening becomes an adults-only place. They have great burgers--try the avocado burger--or lots of finger-type foods. Our kids love it.
