Ass of my life I heard how beautiful Graceland was at Christmas. This year, I finally got a chance to see firsthand. The guide said they do everything just the way the King did it when he was alive. I love Christmas and Christmas decorations, so I think Elvis and I had a lot in common!
The driveway from the gates to the house had lights. It looked like an airport runway. The inside was also adorned with so many Christmas decorations that it looked like the North Pole. If you're an Elvis fan or a fan of Christmas, this is a great place for you to visit.
Surprisingly, there was no wait for a tour, and the cost was a relatively inexpensive $15. I'd seen the home before, so we opted for the smallest tour possible. We just wanted to see Christmas. It was well worth the revisit. It is obvious that the workers spent hours getting the place ready.
I have enclosed pictures of the outside so you can get an idea of just how Christmas-y it was. If you're in the area, I strongly recommend you check it out. Even if you have kids who don't know who Elvis is, they'll love the lights and decorations.
ED NOTE: The tours stop early, so you will miss the lights. I recommend a daytime tour and then a trip back over after it is dark to see the lights in full force. You'll be glad you did!
