Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

We came at the right time of the year to see some joeys peering out of their mum's pouches. They were so cute when they gently nuzzled the food out of our hands. I wanted to buy food pellets and feed the roos all day, but my husband ushered us out after half an hour.

The Sanctuary gives people a chance to pet and feed many of the animal species native to Australia. You can get up-close and personal with many different species of koala. I am a huge fan of wombats, and the wombats here did not disappoint. I've attached a photo of a cute one.
