Lahaina Walking Tour

The Lahaina Restoration Foundation has published an excellent little walking tour map of this old whaling village that details most of the historic landmarks that are of importance. The guide is free and can be picked up at the Baldwin House, 696 Front Street. Many of the tourist booths have them as well but you may get pitched on time share scams if you try them. My favorite parts of the walk were checking out the enormous Banyan tree in the village center and checking out the old schooner parked in the harbor.

After the walking tour take a stroll down the shop filled streets. There are many fine galleries to look through and some great restaurants as well. Lahaina makes a good day trip for a little fun away from the resorts.
