This popular East End Market is at its best around the edges, in the little shops and even on some of the side streets.
There are lots of stalls just set up in the middle selling food like cookies, crackers candy and the like. There was even a guy selling small appliances off the back of his van. We presume at the prices he was hawking that the merchandise "FELL OFF A TRUCK"????
Brick Lane itself is full of shops selling sports goods, gloves, shoes, socks and jeans, but look for the wonderful range of spice shops and curry restaurants in this very active center of London's Bangladesh community.
We had lunch at a very good Bangladesh restaurant.
Note this is open only on Sundays.
