This museum is a surprising treat, right in the middle of Oklahoma City. Here, see paintings, sculptures and other works of art that pay homage to an American icon, the cowboy. In the front hall, the first thing to greet visitors is a huge white sculpture of a cowboy on a steed, entitled "End of the Trail". It is surrounded by windows, and sunlight streams in from all angles adding brightness to the already powerful structure. The gift shop offers everything from books about Western history to Western recipe cookbooks.
