Milford Sound or Jurassic Park?

A flight from Queenstown in a four seater plane with just my friend and the pilot made it feel really special. You fly over amazing mountains and glaciers much lower than you do in larger planes and get terrific views. The landing at the sound is a bit hairy as they have to come down fairly sharply due to the sound being surrounded by steep mountains. You then take a boat trip around the sound and again the views take your breath away. There are huge waterfalls and snow capped mountains glistening in the sunshine. The highlight of our trip was picking up a school of dolphins who surfed on the wake of the boat for ages. You also see seals lazing on the rocks. It all feels so prehistoric and you half expect a dinosaur to come crashing out of the bushes! We could have driven down to the Sound but it was a long way by road and I'm so glad we took the plane for the experience. I can highly recommend it to everyone!
