Old Sacramento

This is the heart of Sacramento's Gold Rush past! It's amazing to see this corner of an urban city, still paved with cobblestone roads and wooden storefronts. You'll see stagecoaches being pulled by horses; just flag one down to catch a ride (perfect for a family outing - kids are sure to love). And our family loves to watch plays on the floating riverboat, the Delta King (it's also a restaurant, but the food is mediocre and the prices high...so I recommend buying dinner at one of the old-fashioned hamburger shops instead, then just going to the DK for evening entertainment). Travelers can also get old-fashioned pictures taken - great for memories - at O' Grady's Oldtime Photos. You flip through sample books of photographs of different costumes, and select your outfit...cowboys and saloon girls and gangsters are all options! A perfect memory of your time in Old Sacramento.
