The Rumjungle & House of Blues

The Rumjungle and House of Blues, two of the best clubs in Vegas are both in the Mandalay Bay. The Rumjungle is relatively new and the best club I have ever been to (that's saying a lot). The atmosphere is ultra celeb. - hot and stylish with house and hip-hop rap beats. A small club by Vegas standards, the Rumjungle has the best DJs and the hottest beats with an exceptionally modern megabucks sound system. You can actually hear the bass for about two days after you have left the club.

The clincher is the flying half-naked supermodel chicks that dangle down off these trapeze like swings as they glide from one side of the room to the next just hovering above everyone's heads. Drinks are $10 whether you order a jack and coke or water. The crowd is ultra-rich and is, for the most part, a big ecstasy club.

The House of Blues is less exclusive because it's bigger, but the celebs are everywhere. The dance floor is huge with a giant 4 million foot (exaggeration) TV screen of different people they film on the dance floor. The music is house and techno when live bands aren't playing (which is rare). It's a little more of a minglers scene with a great bar to pick up the opposite sex. You can actually hear someone else as the music is concentrated on the dance floor.
