Heimwehfluh Observation Point

The Heimwehfluh is just a 5 minutes walk from the Interlaken West train station. From the base you can either take the funicular to the top or walk along the hiking trail. Once again, I selected the trail and loved the beautiful scenery that I was rewarded with. At the top, there is a kiddie play area with swings and teeter totters and other apparatus. Also, a child's coaster is available as well. A small kiosk with snacks and a restaurant with a terrace are available as well.

The lookout tower affords you remarkable views of both the panaroma that is Interlaken and also the majesty of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau Mountains.

If you only have a day or two in Interlaken, I would suggest that you see other sites, but this was a great last day jaunt. I was able to get a 360 degree view of the town that I grew to love in just a week!
