One of the things about traveling that always becomes a thorn in my side is picking up souvenirs. It's not like I don't buying gifts for my friends, but when you are packing to leave is when you finally realize that you need to pick up some locally themed trinket or curio. The Shell Man, which suddenly appeared on the side of the road heading back to Miami, was the solution to my souvenir dilemma.
With about every kind of sea shell imaginable for sale, there were quite a few items at Shell Man that I knew my New Yorker pals would not have seen before. But when all was said and done I ended up splurging on the rather cute stuffed dolphins, which was better suited for packing and much more huggable.
