While walkng throught the city we came upon Gravensteen , Castle of the Counts. This casle belonged to the Counts of Flanders, but was rebuilt many times, most recently in the 19th century. On our dreary day, the view of the outside was enough, but if you venture inside, you will have the opportunity to learn of the many torture instruments of those times.
