We spent our last night in Las Vegas celebrating Mike's "winnings"! The Mandalay Bay had the most wonderful buffet I have yet to experience in Las Vegas, and I've eaten at many of them. My initial reaction was that it was a little pricey, at $22.50 each, but THEN I saw the buffet! Other buffets, such as Rio's, may have even more food selections, but Mandalay Bay cannot be matched for QUALITY. Selections included King crab legs, three-bite shrimp, Prime rib, Cornish game hens, rack of lamb, and too many more items to mention--and they were all prepared to perfection. The hot foods were piping hot, and the cold foods were very cold. My biggest complaint about buffets usually is the temperature of the food. The dessert bar was TO DIE FOR! The desserts were as beautiful as they were delicious, and they had rows of various sugar-free specialty desserts, as well as their regular selection. The service was prompt and friendly. I WILL return to this delightful buffet again... a TRUE culinary masterpiece!
